Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) includes veterinary acupuncture, herbal therapy, tui-na (chinese massage), and food therapy. All are focused on maintaining balance of the energy force (Qi) of the body. When injury or illness occurs, there is a disruption in the flow of Qi. Acupuncture is used to relieve that blockage and allow the body to heal itself. Herbal therapy is considered to be like daily acupuncture. Each herbal formula is specifically formulated to target different underlying conditions. Tui-na uses specific massage techniques along the channels of the body to help free the flow of Qi and start healing. Food therapy focuses on supplementing the diet with certain foods that have a heating, cooling, or tonifying action to improve the effectiveness of the above treatments.  Learn more about veterinary acupuncture.

Canine Rehabilitation

Canine rehabilitation and conditioning focuses on manual therapies and exercises to relieve pain, improve strength and flexibility, and promote healing of musculoskeletal injuries.  Whether your dog is recovering from a surgery or is a geriatric suffering with mobility issues, rehabilitation can improve their quality of life by helping them recover.  Rehabilitation can also be beneficial for athletic or working dogs. A comprehensive conditioning program can keep them in their best shape and prevent injuries during performance. Learn more about canine rehabilitation and conditioning
